AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH STEAM PROFESSIONALS!
Our meeting will begin at 6:30 with an overview of computer science careers by Dr. Jey Veerasamy. Dr. Veerasamy is the Director of the Center for Computer Science Education and Outreach at UT Dallas (utd.edu/k12).
Then we will hear about the Dallas STEAM Explorers from Eliot Paek, who will also discuss future plans and logistics.
Finally, Carter Haines, a Ph.D. student of the Alan G. MacDiarmid NanoTech Institute at UT Dallas, will introduce us to the exciting World of Nanotechnology. We will explore the many exciting challenges and applications for carbon nanotubes, from flexible, transparent speakers to high-strength artificial muscles.
